About Us

At Intrinsic Physio, we utilize a holistic approach to manage your injuries. We are highly qualified physiotherapists specializing in sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions related to the spine, such as headaches, neck pain, back pain, cervical & lumbar radiculopathy (pain & numbness in your arms or legs), slipped disc / disc protrusion / sciatica. We are proficient in utilizing various techniques including the McKenzie methods®, manual therapy, acupuncture, exercise therapy, and sports medicine.

Spinal pain is increasingly common due to sedentary lifestyles and prolonged desk work. Postural screening and assessment for problems of spinal origin is an important part of the work of our physiotherapists. Identifying the source of pain, manually treating and correcting the underlying biomechanical causes, and educating patients in the prevention of further episodes, is our approach to spinal pain. In addition to the assessment and hands-on treatment, patients are taught strengthening exercise for core stability and stretching exercise to improve spinal flexibility, as well as education in postural awareness and good office ergonomics.

Intrinsic Physio also has extensive experience in the sporting arena, including some major international events such as the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, New Zealand Badminton Open and Tradestaff ISF Men’s World Softball Championships. Whether you are an elite athlete, high performance player, a weekend warrior or beginner, we will help you to return to sport as quickly and as safely as possible.

We strive to provide the best care possible. At Intrinsic Physio, collaboration is key. We work closely with other healthcare professionals such as GPs, surgeons, specialists, acupuncturists, sport coaches, and management officials to ensure holistic care for our patients. Should further investigation be necessary to confirm a diagnosis, we can arrange referrals for X-rays and ultrasound scans. Additionally, when required, we can refer you to specialists for ultrasound-guided injections.
